Not sure if this is exactly my issue, but I watch movies/shows with VLC player. I pause sometimes and play a game and when I finish VLC is closed. I open VLC again and it says VLC had an error. I've tried repeatedly to Send an Error Report, but EVERY time it says "Report sending failed. There was an error while transferring the data to the FTP server. Thanks a lot for the help."
This happens usually with DX10/11 games I believe (Call of Duty Black ops 3, Destiny 2 Beta, probably also Titanfall 2). I play Warcraft 3 as well and I just finished a game and this issue cropped up, but I think I probably played the Destiny 2 Beta before WC3 and that was what caused the crash.
(happens regardless of if minimized VLC player or just in background)
If I can manually send you the error data I would be happy to. Email me if you need to, I just created this account so not sure if a reply will prompt an email? Either way I'll try to check back because I don't always remember how many minutes into a show I was so it would be nice to fix :)
Thanks, jb. I read the earlier comment with the "Use OpenGL output" suggestion, but honestly did not know how I would do that (was it a settings with my drivers? with VLC?) I've since found it in VLC Tools > Preferences > Video > Output
I'm currently on 2.2.6 so 3.0 ver may help as well. I'll report back before going to the 3.0 ver in case it helps your development. I'll also report back after upgrading to 3.0 (which I assume is a beta since not on main page) if it resolves the issue as I have this pause a show tendency quite often ;)

Also, in 3.0, D3D11 should behave without crashing, I think. Please try this too.
