Sample file: http://rapidshare.com/files/293457824/no-audio-in-mpc.mp2.html
In this sample it seems that the container has an aspect ratio information of 2.35:1 and the video stream an aspect ratio of 16:9. So VLC is playing the file at 2.35:1 which is not the correct aspect ratio this video should be played at: http://img235.imagevenue.com/img.php?image=96916_size_in_vlc_122_358lo.jpg
However MPlayer, MPC-HC and even WMP are playing it at the correct aspect ratio of 16:9.
Gspot says the video has a SAR or 1.250 (5:4) a PAR of 1.422 (~10:7) and a DAR of 1.778 (16:9) but MediaInfo says the DAR is 2.35:1.
