No subtitles when casting on Android

When casting to Chromecast from Android subtitles are not visible on TV. Subtitles are visible on mobile, though. Subtitle download option works fine when casting. I found a workaround which might help. I start video with subitles on on mobile, then I cast the whole display using Android system cast, not from within VLC. VLC picks up that casting is going on and it stops playing video on mobile, as it is playing on Chromecast. Subtitles stay visible now. However, if screen is locked it shows on Chromecast stream on TV (locked icon). On mobile VLC shows only large VLC streaming logo, controls are visible and the mobile screen goes black but the video on Chromecast plays fine. No system areas are visible in Chromecast. Tested on Sony Xperia X compact (Android 8), and Xiomi Redmi 5 (MyUI 10).
