Pausing during a voice call breaks live stream

I am listening to a web radio. During the call, audio is muted as expected. When the call ended, audio resumes. But shortly after, the stream stops.

Assumingly, skype/windows pauses VLC during the voice call. I have the "mute playback" setting active in skype/windows. VLC should mute, not pause (which seems to break the live stream).

Possibly related to #10480 (closed) and #19089 (closed). #23552 would mitigate the issue, because I would deactivate automatic mute and manually do so instead.
