VPS: remove hack that is no longer needed

Felix Paul Kühne requested to merge fkuehne/vlc-ios:3.0-remove-vps-hack into 3.3.x

VLCKit correctly handles events now so this is no longer needed and in fact leads to failures when playing playlists with just a singular item. Closes #1466 (closed)
