Update lua scripts and contrib to 5.4.4

Updates lua scripts to work with more recent versions of lua that no longer support the deprecated module function.

Updates the lua contrib to 5.4.4

For easier review, the patches on top of the lua 5.4.4 tarball can be found on https://code.videolan.org/ePirat/lua too, as reading a diff of a diff is quite confusing.
