Invisible playlists in Mavericks 10.9.1 beta

The text in a playlist is invisible in Mavericks 10.9.1 beta. It may have something to do with the new graphics drivers. I don't know if this problem will be corrected in the final version of 10.9.1, hence the low priority. Thanks!

Whats the VLC version you are using? Try resetting preferences.

In case you are using a VLC 2.2 nightly build, this is expected and not related to the OS X version :)

I thought you were probably right because I tried using VLC 2.2 nightly and then reinstalled 2.1.1, but I tried resetting the preferences and nothing has changed. The problem occurred after I installed 10.9.1 beta

Then, the issue is the 2.2 nightly as the broken state is saved in prefs and also shown in 2.1, afterwards. Looks like the the reset-button within VLC is itself faulty.

You need to delete ~/Library/Preferences/org.videolan.vlc.plist by hand, and it will fix the issue.

The reported bug is also fixed for 2.2 now.

I manually deleted ~/Library/Preferences/org.videolan.vlc.plist and the folder org.videolan.vlc and the issue is still there in VLC 2.1.1 Anyway thanks a lot fkuehne!

It will work. :-) You must need to make sure VLC is closed when deleting the files, and maybe wait a bit before starting VLC again.

Yes! I completely uninstalled VLC with CleanMyMac and reinstalled it. Now the issue is gone! Thank you!
