Beginning with 2.1.0., selecting the 'Float on Top' option causes the Main Window to also float on top, and remain floating even when the option is disabled. The only way to get it to stop is to disable Float on Top and restart the program.

That makes sense if playing video in the main window, but not if you play video in a separate window. There are playback controls on the video window, so one does not need to see or interact with the Main Window that frequently - it just gets in the way. This sort of defeats the purpose of Float on Top, which is to be able to watch a video while doing something else.

I don't know how to describe it any more clearly. I have the main window displaying the playlist, and video playing in a separate window. I enable Float on Top, both windows appear in front of all other windows. If I disable Float on Top, the video window ceases floating but the Main Window remains on top and will not act normally unless I quit and reopen the application. I've attached a screenshot to illustrate. Float on Top is disabled. The window on the left is a browser window, the top right is the Main Window/Playlist stuck floating, the bottom right is the video window behaving as expected.
I have tried trashing the prefs and starting completely clean, but with the same result. This was not an issue before 2.1.0.

I think the rationale was to be able to also control playlist and other functions within the main window. Without that, if you have a rather small screen and the video window is rather large, you might have not enough place to reach the main window at all, because its all covered by the video.
Why not just playing the video within main window, if this new behaviour is a problem for you? :-)

Thanks, thats exactly what I need. I did not tested disabling float-on-top before stopping video. Now I see your issue.
