Even when "Disable screensaver" isn't checked in the options VLC keeps it from activating
Even though I have the "Disable screensaver" checkbox cleared in the advanced preferences (Preferences -> All -> Video -> Disable Screensaver) the screen never blanks and my displays stay on indefinitely. This happens regardless whether or not VLC is in fullscreen or windowed mode.
I am running VLC 2.0.7 on a fully patch Windows 7 workstation.
As a side note, the option text "Disable screensaver" seems a little backwards when combined with a checkbox. Checkboxes are typically used to confirm something. A more clear option would be "Allow screensaver" with the default setting being unchecked.
It would also be nice if it were possible to configure VLC so that the screensaver was allowed when in windowed mode but disabled in fullscreen mode.

I may be wrong but with further testing it would seem that VLC does allow the screensaver to activate when the option is properly set but only if a video isn't playing or paused. If the file that was being played has ended but VLC is still open the screensaver will activate and the monitors will turn off (assuming that you have Windows configured to do so).
