External .mks support
The .mks container has rather bizarre behaviour.
- It's not recognized as a subtitle file, but rather as a media file.
- Using synchronous play, the subtitle is displayed, but seeking is bugged.
- With multi-track .mks, things are beyond unpredictable. Seeking works, then it stops, then the subtitle disappears...
I reported this on IRC a while ago (2012-07-05), but Trac registration was down at that point.
Clarification:
- This would enable localized videos in multiple languages without remuxing and losing the original encoding data, also ensuring SFV verification or consistency through multiple updates - you can add a translation without having to remux.
- This would also make it possible to have multiple-track karaoke (since mks supports SSA) - for example, romaji, kana and kanji for Japanese music.
- It would also be much easier to correct typos/mistakes/errors inside subtitles, or remove a track without much hassle.
