JACK: audio gaps

When attempting to reproduce an audio or video file through jack, the output audio has gaps.

Tested in the VLC 2.0.3 under Ubuntu 12.04.

added Component::Audio: other plugins Platform::GNU/Linux labels and removed 1 deleted label

Is anybody able to reproduce this?

It is a serious bug for us, because we have to use jack for audio (multichannel audio installation), and this bug prevents us from being able to use vlc.

Very few users set up VLC for audio output through JACK, and none of them read this particular bug database.

Do you know how could I contact these few users who set up VLC for output through Jack (e.g. mailing list)? Do you know who wrote the Jack plugin module, and if they are still mantaining these?

Obviously not.

Cyril Deguet wrote it over 5 years ago and left the project shortly thereafter.

Patch welcome / new maintainer needed.

The jack output module underwent some major changes in April of this year, can you confirm that you're still having these issues?
