Dragging and dropping the URL to the standalone VLC player allows it to be played fine.

I'm attaching the output of firefox on the console (please ignore the fontconfig warnings - almost every GUI app now emits them on Mageia Cauldron.).

In any case, I've tried pressing the play button several times and nothing happens - there should be some kind of visual cue on the screen that an error has occured.
