Seeking produces silences audio for 20 seconds with 3GP

I have 3GP audio recordings made with an Android phone, but when I use keyboard shortcuts to jump ahead or backward (by any interval) the player goes silent for about 20 seconds. This happens both on my Mac (2011 iMac, Core i7, 16GB RAM, Mac OS X 10.7.4, fresh install of VLC) and on my Windows machine (Windows 8 customer preview, Dell Core i7 from 2009, 8GB RAM). In both cases I'm using VLC 2.0.2. This occurs with audio files; I'm not sure about video.

I added a sample. In my brief test today, it seems the 20 seconds thing isn't necessarily a rule -- the pause was longer with the short sample I tested today. The 20 second sample was with a 40-minute audio recording.

There's 2 problems:

• PCR is set to seek time, and seek chunk is ahead of seek time
• avcodec decoder produces packets from the sent block, and those packets have invalid pts/dts

• PCR is set incorrectly after seeking
• PCR still increases while buffering, competing with decoder. Once buffered, PCR > decoder DTS and then silent.
