HTTP stream URL with superfluous slash
I used VLC 1.1.12 to stream a mp3 over HTTP with the following settings in "Streaming/Settings":
- Stream Tpye "HTTP"
- Address "/go.mp3"
- Port "1234"
- Encapsulation method "Raw"
The stream was available at "http://server_ip:1234/go.mp3".
VLC 2.0.1 on Linux seems to add another slash to the URL when using the same settings as before. The stream is available at "http://server_ip:1234//go.mp3". If I omit the second (superfluous) slash, the client receives an "404 Not found" error. If I change the second setting ("Address") from "/go.mp3" to "go.mp3", VLC will get stuck in an infinite loop on Mac OS X. The windows version of VLC 2.0.1 does not show this behavior. Here, the URL is correctly set to "http://server_ip:1234/go.mp3".
