Play Bar in VLC 1.2 for Mac

The play bar on the bottom of VLC 1.2 for mac has the gradient begin at the tip of the handle, when it should extend to the middle

The algorithm calculating the gradient's length is a bit weak. If the knob is on the right side of the track, the gradient fits. Ideas are welcome.

Use the std mac process bar... I've seen it used in that location before and I think it looks acceptable?

Use the std mac process bar... I've seen it used in that location before and I think it looks acceptable? We are still using it while opening a movie or something.

However, the ticket creator complained (and deservedly so) about the gray gradient displayed on the left side of the playback position knob, which underlines how far in the track you already got. A progress bar doesn't make too much sense to me in this scenario.
