Cannot read avi file exported with CS5 encoded with xvid. Maybe xmp metadata.
I have exported an avi file from adobe after effects CS5, chosing avi format and encoded with xvid (koepi build) on win7 system, intel core i7-2600k. VLC says the file is broken and wants to rebuild index. Any answer I chose, VLC will not play anything and won't give other error messages. All other players play the file correctly: virtualdub, after effects, windows media player.
I have inspected the file with Notepad++ and noticed a big chunk of xmp metadata. I tried removing this xmp metada and VLC was able to play the file, with lots of artefacts (virtualdub would say it coulnd't find movi block, but no error message.
Tried VLC nightly build and last release 1.1.1. 1.2.0-git-20110927-0003.

File was attached, so did not need to upload on ftp.
Just to be more clear, VirtualDub could not play the file when I removed the xmp metadata with text editor. VLC did play the modified file without giving any error message, but had visual artefacts. I tried to modify other exported files this way, but it didn't always work. I think the problem is in the metadata reading and there is no way to let After Effects CS5 not include it. There is an option to include xmp metadata which adds even more data.
The sample I have attached will reproduce the bug.
