NSAlert called from non-main threads

In certain conditions, NSAlert is called from non-main threads when performing CoreInteraction notifications, which can lead to crashes since AppKit is not thread-safe. Additionally, CoreInteraction events should no longer be handled by NSNotifications, but should be replaced by direct calls to the shared instance (much faster and less memory consuming).
