Win7 jump list recent files path bug
It seems VLC (1.1.4, also previous versions) dosen't handle unicode paths correctly in the Windows 7 jump list. For instance my user name contains the estonian letter "õ", but in the Windows 7 jump list for VLC, the paths for recent files contain jiberish instead of that letter (for files opened from my user profile Videos folder). If I try to open a recent file from the jump list a missing shortcut dialog pops up telling me to browse for the missing file. Selecting recent files from VLC media menu works...
Since other applications handle the paths correctly inside jump lists, I'm assuming the problem lies with VLC and not Windows 7.
