M3U playlist reading broken

Since #3783 (closed) is marked as Win32-specific, whereas I'm running Linux, and also it doesn't seem to describe exactly the problem I'm experiencing, I'm filing a separate bug report. It may be not even related to #3783 (closed) at all.

As of 1.1.0, I can no longer load any of my M3U playlists that contain bare filenames -- not encoded as "file:" URLs, and not including any path info. I'm attaching a sample playlist. All the playlists now failing to load have been working fine with prior versions of VLC, up to and including 1.0.6.

What happens instead is that it adds playlist entries for all the MP3 files in my entire music archive -- over 6000 files! -- and starts playing them.

I'm also attaching a shortened debug log with debug level 2.

For what it's worth, I see the following suspicious /^playlist debug:/ messages in the debug log:

playlist debug: found valid M3U playlist
...
playlist debug: using XSPF playlist reader
...
playlist debug: parsed 6228 tracks successfully
