VLC 1.1.0 OSX Long Loading Times
CPU: iMac 8,1 (4GB, 2.66 GHz C2D, 256 MB ATI HD 2600 Pro HD) OSX: 10.6.4
Opening MOST video files has a HUGE time delay; VLC opens and then sits and tries to open said file for up to 5 minutes. VLC is responsive during this period, but nothing shows up until later; during this time VLC spools to 100+% CPU usage, as seen in activity monitor. Once the file finally opens, and is played, CPU usage goes back down to normal, around 20-50%. This applies for all file types.
Additional notes: -Mainly MKVS were tested, as their my primary file-type, but other file types were tested as well, to a lesser degree. -32-64 bit independent -Not present in 1.0.5 -Logs/Sample processes broken down in accordance to file type -Size independent -All files play fine in QuickTime X + Perian, and all file integrity checks pass -All files tested for this test play fine in 1.0.5, with the exception of one, which is used in a RAM bug test, on a different ticket.
