Video all green and purple on Snow Leopard.

So it appears there is a bug triggered by the use of GL_TEXTURE_RECTANGLE_EXT in the opengl video out whose symptom is a green and purple video output on Snow Leopard . So far I've tried VLC on SL build 10a394 on a 2007 iMac 20"(core 2/ATI 2600 pro) and on a hackintosh(q6600/geforce 7600). I don't think it's specific to VLC because Movist/mplayer/etc are also affected (Perian/Quicktime work though). I tried VLC 0.8.6 ,VLC 0.9.9a and VLC 1.0rc4 and I made a patch against 0.9.9a which:

revert the video output to using GL_TEXTURE_2D.
introduce a compile time option to select the use of two buffers or just one (like the others platforms). This fix could be applied to v1.0 too.
