generate PDB files for Windows builds
For Windows builds generated with LLVM we can generate PDB files for debugging. This is a lot more convenient that gdb when debugging. This is actually what I have been using for years.
The build script already supports it. The tricky part is to settle the location of the VLC sources. When debugging the source file is hardcoded in the PDB file. I'm not aware of a tool that would relocate the PDB lookup to a different folder. I suggest using a path like "s:/sources/vlc"
. It's possible to generate the drive with the subst command.
The nightlies should contain such PDB files in the proper location, ie the .pdb file next to the .dll/.exe it corresponds to.
