VLC Media Player is corrupted in some cases
Steps to reproduce:
- Pin a VLC Media Player to taskbar,
- Open a VLC Media Player from taskbar,
- Wait for finishing of media search,
- Play a video,
- Don't close the video, instead click on back arrow button,
- Now don't wait for media search and instead immediately close & re-open VLC Media Player from taskbar,
- Now your VLC is corrupted (it can be solved if you close & re-open again).
What happened:
- After these steps, your VLC is corrupted, instead of Video and Music tabs, there is only Home tab.
- Also, if the VLC is in corrupted state, it can have more windows of VLC opened.
- After closing and re-opening again, the VLC is now again working normally.
What should happen:
- After trying to close & re-open, the re-opening should be blocked, so VLC shouldn't start up to 8 seconds, after 8 seconds, the VLC can again start.
Other details:
- I'm using VLC 4.0 on Windows 11 22621.1635 (64-bit).
- NOTE: Re-open VLC means if you close VLC with close button, and then again trying to open it from taskbar.
