Open Network Stream - URL capitalisation ignored/taken from history
-Versions: VLC Media Player version 3 Microsoft Windows (8.1 & 10 confirmed)
-Description:
When opening a network stream URL via the GUI, should the URL exist in the history drop down, the capitalisation is taken from the history and not the current text entry.
This poses a problem when the URL has historically been entered with the incorrect capitalisation and server is case sensitive as the user cannot correct the URL. Historical entry keeps taking prescidence when "Play" button is clicked irrespective of latest manual text entry.
Encountered this issue when opening a TV live stream delivered from MediaPortal TV server (https://www.team-mediaportal.com/)
-Reproduction:
Incorrectly enter the URL (note capital "S"):
Then correctly as:
URL fails to open in both cases. The errors dialog shows the incorrect capitalisation for the second attempt (that has been taken from the history/URL cache of the first attempt) and not the latest text entry.
However, if VLC history is cleared, the later will work as expected.
