Media Info editing bug?

Hope this isn't duplicated.

I'm experiencing the same issue as reported here: https://forum.videolan.org/viewtopic.php?t=158049 (I am not the OP but I have the same issue, I am the last post, June 10th 2022)

I've been trying to edit MEDIA INFO from TOOLS menu. (The "i" icon next to this menu option is ORANGE instead of blue I've seen elsewhere.)

Once it brings up the MEDIA INFO dialog box, I am able to see the metadata, and edit a field like TITLE. I then click SAVE METADATA button, carry on watching the .MKV video file for a short while, then close VLC.

When I open the same .MKV file again, and open MEDIA INFO dialog box, metadata is unchanged.

This used to work... last year? Just upgraded today to 3.0.16 Tried downgrading to 3.0.11 - no change
