Playlist deadlock

SAP service discovery still causes the WX playlist to deadlock on some host. Other service discovery plugins might also be affected.

Fix depends on removing linear playlist support according to Zorglub (see #18 (closed)), which in turn depends on updating the skins2 plugin. So won't fix in 0.8.3.

Unfortunately, it means we'll probably have a lot of problem at VIA with every body using SAP, all the more as upgrading to 0.8.2 is otherwise needed to get proper SAP announce encoding :-(

It would also be cool to understand what criteria cause the deadlock. It seems to only and almost always happen on some hosts and never on the others. HyperThreading/SMP specific maybe ???

Report from crashes with SAP on MBONE suggests that the bug is still present. Also I fail to see how the mentioned commit would fix the issue as it does absolutely NOT change the -flawed- mutex locking logic within the wxWidgets plugin.

Hmm, well seems to be actually fixed by [13090] (rather than [13091]).

Even by reducing the updated items cache flush down from 50(+2) to 1(+2) on an HyperThreading processor (a class which was known to be very susceptible to #260 (closed) in the past), with SAP (92 items) and then Shoutcast (> 2000 items), I can't reproduce the issue.

Other responses on vlc-devel confirms the bug was indeed fixed.
