Playlist conversion starts local playback
As reported in: http://forum.videolan.org/viewtopic.php?p=187615#p187615
If you use VLC to transcode network stream from playlist file, VLC automatically starts local playback for that stream (so audio will come out from speakers). If you use direct URL to file, this doesn't happen (I assume it should be like this).
So when I use command: vlc http://www.wefunkradio.com/mirror/stream/WeFunk_Show_ 549_2009-01-23.m3u :sout=#transcode{acodec=mp3,ab=64,channels=1}:duplicate{dst=s td{access=file,mux=raw,dst="C:\out.mp3"}
VLC also plays the stream but when I use command: vlc http://www.wefunkradio.com/mirror/stream/2009-01-23/549 :sout=#transcode{acodec=mp3,ab=64,channels=1}:duplicate{dst=std{access=file,m ux=raw,dst="C:\out2.mp3"}
VLC won't play the stream.
The m3u file only contains one item.
Tested with VLC 0.9.8a and 1.0.0 nightly under Win32.
