half portrait view in landscape orientation
I am using a Raspberry pi B with camera to copy old super film movies frame by frame. To view this compiled films I use VLC. First I used a standard (portrait orientated) monitor at the HDMI connection and all works fine.
Later on I connected a Waveshare 4inch touchscreen in stead of the monitor. This LCD screen is in default portrait orientated but it is possible to rotate the view. When I am using now VLC I get a Landscape frame but the picture is cut off at about 2/3 of the picture. It seems the wide is according to the size of a portrait frame and also a part of the height is missing. I have tried several adjustment, but nothing solved the problem. I have also tried some other player (OMXplayer) at first the same happens but by this player it was possible to use an adjustment by which the picture fits normally to a 4:3 frame. For I prefer to use VLC I hope it is possible to solve this problem.
