Sound fonts at "/usr/share/soundfonts/" cannot be found

Soundfonts on linux are searched on: /usr/share/sounds/sf2/

But some linux distros now save the fonts at: /usr/share/soundfonts/

The module should search in both locations.

It's the other way around. The "soundfonts" dir was created for separating sounds from soundfonts.

The "sounds" dir is full of desktop sound effects.

Sure but VLC never searched into /usr/share/sounds, only /usr/share/sounds/sf2.

Not only makes more sense using the dir "soundfonts", but it's also the new default standard location for fluidsynth.

Hello Alberto, what seems to be the problem? Following your report, the code has already been fixed to now look up both locations:

I think that your bug report was clear enough and very helpful - thank you for it - and that it was taken seriously since the issue was promptly fixed, and will be resolved in the next version of VLC. Is there anything more that you think could be done towards this?
