VLC made my Linux syslog file 30gb with same error message

I had 2 users logged in on the latest debian 10. I was watching a video in VLC on user2 when I switched tty to user1. I left my computer for a few hours and when I returned it was super slow. I restarted it and was unable to boot. My main boot drive was full up, stopping me from booting into it. I loaded up a liveCD and I found syslog had become 30gb big with this message.
