4.0 regression: invalid read

The UI rework was ostensibly pushed without sanitizer testing. Just start it, #22187 (closed) and then:

I don't like your false accusations. The UI branch was tested with ASAN (libasan4 from debian testing). #22187 (closed) is an identified Qt issue.

What ASAN options are you using to trigger such reports ?

This is obviously done with default sanitizer settings. And I don't like being falsely accused of throwing false accusations.

You report was valid, but for some reasons, I could not trigger it with my own asan build.
