enabling Preferences->Main Interfaces->web option breaks Render->(Chrome)Cast

Was trying out VLC Mobile Remote (latest) on VLC 3.0.1 and followed instructions to enable web in Main Interface and then lua. This broke Chromecast immediately after restart to enable web. Restarted Chromecast and VLC, also tried disconnecting VLC Remote, but still broken. The Chromecast device can be seen, but selecting it causes some error that causes VLC to jump through the whole playlist without actual playback.

Disabled web (but not lua) and restarted only VLC, this allowed Cast to work immediately.
