Ability to rename files from within the UI

It would be very useful if there were a way to rename the currently-playing file from within VLC (i.e. via F2 key), similarly to how you can do with photo viewers such as Irfanview.

With Windows Media Player, it's possible to rename files in Explorer while they're playing, but because VLC locks files during playback (this issue: #19700 (closed)), meaning that there isn't really a good workflow for sorting video footage with VLC.

(In WMP, you can open a given file & form the name as it plays, revising as needed. With VLC, you have to open the file, determine the full name - i.e. type it into a separate text editor - close the video, then name the file & reopen if you want to continue viewing. This leads me to always use WMP while organizing my video footage.)

While VLC's use of the POSIX API may make it difficult to avoid locking input files, an in-app "Rename" feature could at least somewhat mitigate this issue, making VLC usable for organizing video footage.
