Deinterlacing not working in 3.0 and 4.0 with hardware decoding
I have an interlaced video ripped from a DVD (mpeg2) using MKV. Playing the video in VLC 3.0 (or 4.0) results in it automatically turning on deinterlace but picture is not right. All shadows turn into black and other colors are wrong too. I also get pixelation on the video at times. Not machine performance issues (i7-8700, 16GB, video playing from local data (not os) SSD).
Several issues: 1 - Deinterlace is not working (I tried Blend and Bob and all others with the same bad color/pixelation results). Deinterlace worked correctly in version 2. Verified in 2.2.8 2 - New feature - deinterlace is set to auto and turns on automatically when you play an interlaced video. I can manually turn it off but it last for the session. No way to perm turn to off or on
I verified this in the release 3.0.0 and in nightly builds (2-23-18) for 3.0.1 and 4.0. Video plays fine when Deinterlace turned off - with combs of course.
