No Video in VLC 3.0.0 on fedora when using wayland.

Linux version: Linux FC25-XXXX 4.11.5-200.fc25.x86_64 #1 (closed) SMP Wed Jun 14 17:17:29 UTC 2017 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Ran an dnf update and vlc was upgraded to: - 03 Tridi Messidor 0225:/home/nik$ rpm -qa | grep vlc vlc-core-3.0.0-0.26snap.20170601git.fc25.x86_64 vlc-3.0.0-0.26snap.20170601git.fc25.x86_64

No issues on the upgrade. I open a gnome desktop using wayland and started vlc . Selected a video to play. I hear audio but no video.

When running vlc in a terminal to the same video I get the following messages.

03 Tridi Messidor 0225:/home/nik/Videos$ cvlc "Katy Perry - Wide Awake.mp4"
VLC media player 3.0.0-git Vetinari (revision 2.2.0-git-12782-g7b57ce689c)

[00007f64a0001cc8] xcb vout display error: window not available
[00007f64a4d5c418] wl_shell window error: request 3 not implemented

Audio is good no video. Same happens if I invoke the gui interface.

I swap to the a X11 session, non wayland. It all works well. So I am not sure if this a vlc issue or an issue with Qt or Wayland. But everything else works well after the update. So passing it to you guys to advise.

If you need further details, then drop me a mail.

thanks, Nik
