audio start level option does not work

Hi,

In VLC 3.0.0 (any nightly), option to reset audio start level is broken.

In Simple Preferences, the option is grayed out.

In Advanced Preferences, "Remember the audio volume" has no effect.

I tried resetting preferences.

OS: Windows 10 Pro 1607 x64

You need to select an output that supports this feature. Don't leave automatic.

Thank you courmisch.

For my part, when I select DirectX audio output, the audio level is not reset to the selected value after restarting VLC (as is the case with 2.2.x).

It works flawlessly with WaveOut audio output.

So the real problem would be:

reset audio start level does not work with DirectX audio output.
