UPNP some pictures doesn't show for gif and jpg

What is the VLC version used?

For windows desktop pictures in UPNP work only in version 3.0.0. I use VLC 3.0.0-git x64, dated 29 Dec 2016

Hm, that's weird, this isn't a UPnP payload as far as I know. It looks like M3U.

It could be that your SatIP box is allowing you to discover some playlists through UPnP and then falling back to M3U playlists for the actual content.

I commited 5969a43e which should help parsing more fields for containers (while we were just checking metadata for the items themselves, ie. only the final video/audio media).

As far as UPnP is concerned, it should fix your problem, but I'd like you to try with a new nightly build tomorrow, and report back here to see if something changed for you.

If it isn't fixed, I'll open a new ticket depending on what needs to be fixed.

I tried build vlc-3.0.0-20170101-0445-git-win64. Result is the same. Wireshark capture packet for "79 MTV Hits" channel is in file "upnp_packet.txt" Picture in log: http://192.168.100.100:4044/Logo/mtv_hits.jpg I don't think the reason is in logo picture, but it is in attached file, but different name in attachment "mtv_hits.2.jpg" Just for info, IOS version shows this picture without any problems
