Issue with audio extraction - output file cannot be played
Issue: I am trying to use VLC to remove the audio from a video (.MP4 file). I use the following steps: File --> Convert/Stream...; then I drag my .MP4 file in, click "Customize..." and in the Audio codec tab I uncheck the Audio box. I don't touch anything else (although I have tried also checking the box "Keep original video track" under the Video codec tab with no success). I click Apply and then choose to save it as a file in a specific folder (the same one as the original .MP4 is in, but under a different name). I then click Save. I can see the clock counting up & track progress in the VLC seek bar, and I see the new file created in the folder as a .m4v file. I come back a little while later, the clock has finished counting up (it's now at 00:00 again), I click on the new file and - nothing. It never works. The resulting .m4v can never be played - just shows up in the Library tab with duration as --:--. I've tried quitting & restarting the program multiple times, it never works.
