VideoLan changes the pitch of the songs each time that I pause and play.
Hi! This is an unusual problem, because I am sure that anyone could not recognize that. So I recognize this as a problem because I work everyday making transcriptions of a lot of songs for a website using VLC as my music player.
I use VLC for a long time, and I know all the features of this software. But, as I am a musician with perfect pitch (Know more here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Absolute_pitch) , I can notice that everytime that I pause the song that I'm working on, when I "unpause" or play it has a slightly change on the pitch of the entire song.
I am a programmer too, and my shot is that this problem could be happening because VLC stretches a little bit the song, causing the random slight down pitch. I think that could be possible because for many times I noticed that when the pitch changes, it be always below the original song.
Try that:
1-Play a song on VLC and Window Media Player at the same time; 2-Pause and play the song on the VLC; 3-You may notice a little difference between the songs, but if you could not notice, ask for a musician to make this test.
Ok, this can't bother no one who don't have perfect pitch, I know. But, for sure this is a big problem for me and for people who have perfect pitch.
I'm here because I love this software. I would be very happy If you could work on this issue.
Thanks
