VLC crashes when playing a certain type of .wav file
VLC versions after 2.1.2 all crash after playing certain wav files that are generated by our TDS voicemail system.
VLC opens just fine, but part way through the playback, an error pops up. The error is titled "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime library" The error is "This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information" After clicking the "OK" button for this dialog, the usual windows crash dialog appears with the message "VLC media player has stopped working," and only gives you the option to "Close the program."
This error will pop up DURING playback, not after it's done. Despite this, the playback of the wav file will finish.
This crash also happens with the nightly build of VLC 3.0.0 dated 5-15-2015.
The systems this has been tested on are both Windows 7 Pro x64. One is a VMware Virtual machine, the other is a physical computer.
