Volume slider highlight doesn't conform to color scheme when using "Graphite"

When the volume slider is selected it is highlighted in blue regardless of weather the user has selected "Graphite" over the default "Blue" in OS X's Appearance Preference Pane. When the user has chosen "Graphite" the slider should be highlighted using the proper color.

Upon further inspection I have found that this issue is not confined to the volume slider as it also affects other controls (e.g. buttons). I have noticed that the controls in the Equalizer window do not suffer from this problem for some reason.

That's due to the way the controls are implemented. The Equaliser and Extended Controls windows are using ordinary Cocoa controls which are drawn by the OS. The controller panels are implemented through simple button graphics (stored in Contents/Resources). At present, VLC only includes a simple blue graphics set. This should change as time passes by, but we are in need of correctly drawn Graphite graphics. As far as I can imagine, simply greyscaling the existing graphics won't fit the Graphite style.
