Cannot play BDMV folder on MacOS 10.9

Running VLC 2.1.4 on MacOS 10.9.2 on a 2013 MacBook Air 13".

Bluray disc contents on a NAS. Network location exported via NFS (tried SMB and AFP with similar results).

Steps to reporoduce:

1. Start VLC.
2. File -> Open Disc.
3. Click 'Open BDMV folder' button.
4. Select BDMV folder of desired movie. Observe MacOS displaying BDMV folder as a special QuickTime object (see attached).
5. Click Open.
6. Observe BDMV item (single item) added to playlist.
7. Press Play button. Observe playlist grow to hundreds of items. Observe VLC try to play every single item in this large list.

Expected results: VLC should start playing the movie and not try to go through every single item one by one.

Use 2.2.0

Tried from a local file system with VLC 2.1.4. After being able to select the BDMV folder, when I try to Play, get the following error messages:

"Blu-ray error / Path doesn't appear to be Blu-ray" "Your input can't be opened / VLC is unable to open the MRL 'bluray:///Users/user1/Movies/Movie_Folder'. Check log for details."

Tested with version 2.2.0 (http://nightlies.videolan.org/build/macosx-intel/vlc-2.2.0-x86_64-20140312-0128.zip), still same results.

Hmm, first, I do not see from your logs why the bluray playlist item is expanded to several items, is this still the case?

Anyway, I tried it here and it works fine for me. I strongly suspect that you have an encrypted bluray or some invalid data. The log does not show any problem with the GUI part, at all.

I had removed the app and cleaned out the preferences before the last test. It does not populate the playlist with many items anymore. It simply does not play.

Will modify the description.

Also, I know the items in the BDMV folder are not encrypted, because I can play an .M2TS file directly without any problem.

I tried another movie with same results on the local file system. Curious to see the "core_debug: no access modules matched" message.

What does this mean?

This has nothing to mean, the correct module should be already tried before.

Please start VLC from command line with -vvv, and you should see additional messages / errors from libbluray.

Ah, and please try the path without the BDMV folder, this might be also the culprit.

macosx: drop the potential BDMV folder from a bluray path (fixes [#10928](https://code.videolan.org/videolan/vlc/-/issues/10928))

Only the path to the bluray structure itself is supported.
