bug in playing wmv file format

hi, i am using the latest version of vlc media player (2.1.2). my os is windows 7 ultimate. i just played the default video file of windows (C:\Users\Public\Videos\Sample Videos\Wildlife.wmv) with vlc. but, for the first 3 seconds, the video is not playing (only black screen) and struggling. the same file is playing well in windows media player. is this a bug or u let it as a known issue? this problem is there in vlc since long time. anyhow still vlc is a good (free) tool. thanks and regards, elavarasan
