can't resize from fullscreen

Hello,

I have just installed VideoLAN - VLC media player Version 2,1,1,0 and I can no longer resize the main VLC screen. The main VLC screen is in fullscreen mode andtakes up the entire screen space on my 1 1/2 year old Samsung laptop. The resize arows no longer appear at the edges of the VLC screen. I am running the following software which might have disabled this feature:

Windows 7 Home Premium (x64) Service Pack 1 (build 7601)

Microsoft - .NET Framework Version 2.0.50727.4927 (32/64-bit)

Microsoft - .NET Framework Version 3.0.6920.5011 (64-bit)

Microsoft - Windows Script Host Version 5.8.7600.16385 (32/64-bit).

I have searched the bug tickets and cannot find anything resembling the problem I have. It might be related to bugs #5458 (closed) (most likely), #8807 (closed) or #6208.
