This codec wasn't good.
It didn't work on SIPR correctly in all cases.
The code had lots of warnings.
The philosophy of it sucks (opening dlls...)
It didn't work on non-standard architecture.

Those cards are normally accessed with the standard FrameBuffer,
through X11 or svgalib instead. The mga_vid driver is not even in the
kernel (or not anymore).

No maintainer showed up. It is broken in many ways and there is virtually no streams using that...

Mention the lua intf move in NEWS. Print an error if lua wasn't found and wasn't explicitly disabled in configure.

It seems that .mtv files don't work though

This patch needs more testing, I think.
