Currently I can reorder/sort the playlist manually one by one, however, it seems like if I want to quickly sort the playlist Alphanumerically or other sorting order available in the video tab (Duration, etc) - it is not available.
This is useful because after I transferred a list of files to the app, and added them to a new playlist - even when they were sorted Alphanumerically and tapped in order - the files in the playlist are all in random order. Manually reordering them when I have many files becomes very difficult.
To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
Hi I noticed that the linked issue #537 (closed) (#537 (closed)) automatic sorting by Alphanumerically or Duration feature is available for the Video and Audio tab, and on the "lists of playlist", but it is actually not available for the "list of contents" inside the playlist. Any possibility this can be implemented?
@James Currently playlists cannot be sorted due to a voluntary limitation of our medialibrary.
I'm closing this since from 3.2.8, you can create manual groups of video files in which you can sort the content.
If it doesn't meet your use case, please feel free to reopen this ticket.
On a side note, I agree that this is useful especially for audio playlists. Therefore, on the application side, we could consider implementing a filtering system.
Yup, we manually groups of video files in which we can sort the content, however, the sorting process is very manual at the moment and requires reordering each item individually.
For example I have a list of files which was already in order

After adding them into the list, it all becomes random order

and then I need to manually pull each of them back in order one by one.
The ability to sort automatically such as alphabetically becomes very useful especially for a playlist which has many files.
Yes, I believe that the criterias have been recently added to the medialibrary but there is no released version featuring it so we can postpone this to the next milestone
