[Feature request] Option to keep playing background music while watching a video
Currently, starting video playback in VLC either automatically stops the audio played by another app (like Music or Spotify), or it can keep the background music on but mutes the video (if you have the "Audio playback in background" setting turned off and set the audio track to "Disable").
It would be great to have a setting that allows iOS to keep playing the background audio and play the video with the sound on mixed together. This should be technically possible in iOS 6.0+ when setting AVAudioSession
's options to mixWithOthers
, which mixes the foreground and background audio, instead of forcing the playback of other apps to be interrupted.
