[Bug] Non-standard Genres not displayed for mp3 in VLC on iPhone (works correctly for m4a)
My observation is that for mp3, custom Genres do not show correctly in the VLC iOS app. Following examples all start with an empty VLC library on the iPhone:
- An mp3 with genre "Rock" is added. Now, under "Genre" in VLC I can see that "Rock" has been added
- An mp3 with genre "Sonstiges" is added. Now, under "Genre" in VLC I don't see "Sonstiges"
- An m4a with genre "Sonstiges" is added. Now, under "Genre" in VLC I do see "Sonstiges"
My hypothesis is that for mp3, genres are shown correctly if they are standard genres, but with custom genres, VLC has a problem with mp3. Therefore, the "Rock" mp3 is shown correctly, but "Sonstiges" is not (for the mp3).
The m4a example proves that in theory custom genres are supported.
I checked all 3 files with mutagen, and they all have the "Genre" populated correcty.
