Subtitles not displayed for audio-only file
If I play an audio file with subtitles (i.e. audio.mp3, with audio.vtt present in the same folder), the subtitle file is not displayed by VLC. This happens both over SMB (my intended use case) and with local files.
Between #1294 (closed) and #1398 (closed), I'm not sure whether they are supposed to be supported. (I think the answer is "yes", and the latter issue is just about a UI for manually specifying a subtitle file to use; but that's basically a guess.)
In desktop VLC, I can see from the Subtitle menu that it recognizes the subtitle file in this scenario. However, I need to turn on a visualizer before they are actually displayed. (Cover art is insufficient.) I can't tell whether the issue with iOS VLC is the same thing, or if the iOS version isn't seeing the subtitle file at all. Instead of the "speech bubble" icon in the lower-left for accessing audio/subtitle information, I just see a "repeat options" icon. (And since visualizers aren't supported per #74, I can't just turn one on.)
