VLC iOS no longer renders webm files properly

Basically, any webm file (that's under the extension .webm, in case you didn't actually know) no longer renders properly as of the latest version on iOS. This also occurred with the iOS version 7.1.2 version of VLC. Sound plays properly on both versions, but video either doesn't catch up with the sound and has frozen at a frame, or glitches entirely after a few frames, rendering the video unviewable. I'm using webms downloaded off of the Sankaku Complex Channel (chan(dot)sankakucomplex(dot)com), if that helps any. MP4s play just fine. I'm on iOS 9.3.3.
